Our First Visit with a Specialist

We saw a high risk OB specialist on January 21, 2010 and it was not a good visit. The dr. painted a very dark picture of what Madison's defects could be but had no conclusive diagnosis to report because she could not see a defect on Madison's spine. However the dr. believed that a defect would show up on future ultrasounds as Madison gets bigger. No specifics on the brain abnormality can be given until we meet with a neurosurgeon. We are devastated that Madison is not healthy. But God is still knitting her together and she is fearfully and wonderfully made, regardless of any reports doctors give us. We believe we will be walking down a long road full of appointments, tests, and uncertainty for the rest of the pregnancy. We need God to give us peace.
